Vendors Rapidly Achieve Certification and Help Healthcare Provider Customers Attest for Meaningful Use Stage 2; Interoperability with EpicCare EMR, MEDITECH 6.x and EHNAC Accreditation Furthers DataMotion’s Success

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – February 19, 2014 – DataMotion (, an innovative health information service provider (HISP) with 15 years of experience in secure data delivery, today announced it has enabled 16 electronic health record (EHR) systems to rapidly achieve 2014 ONC-ACB certification using its DataMotion Direct secure messaging service as “relied upon software.” Through the quick and easy integration of DataMotion Direct, EHR vendors enable healthcare providers to attest for Meaningful Use Stage 2 (MU2) and qualify for financial incentives from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The 16 EHR systems vendors enlisting DataMotion Direct are Advanced Data Systems, Dox EMR, Exscribe, IFA Systems, iMedicWare, IRCS, MedConnect, Medflow, MTBC, Ohio Health, Origin Healthcare Solutions, SuccessEHS (Vitera), Sophrona, TriMed, TRAKnet and T-Systems. The HISP has announced DataMotion Direct is now interoperable with EpicCare EMR and MEDITECH, facilitating MU2 attestation by customers of these leading EHRs. The service features bi-directional messages for Transition of Care and View Download Transmit, and successfully routes CCD/CCDAs, exchanging them via XDR.

DataMotion is fully accredited by the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program for HISPs from and the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). This accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with industry-established standards, HIPAA regulations and the Direct Project.

DataMotion was founded in 1999, and today, millions of desktop, tablet and mobile users leverage its mature, cloud-based data delivery platform to securely transmit protected health information (PHI). In the fall of 2012, the company expanded operations as a HISP and introduced DataMotion Direct. This breakthrough secure messaging service offers easy-to-use data transfer capabilities for “real-world” healthcare communications including secure email for sending and receiving PHI, summary of care documents and large images for both in and out-of-network communications. It also allows organizations to quickly integrate with the Direct Project, comply with MU2 and qualify for subsidies from the ONC. As a result, DataMotion Direct has grown rapidly and now serves organizations across the healthcare spectrum, including healthcare providers, EHR, HIE and interface engine vendors.

“Our experience in secure data delivery has been embraced by healthcare and we’re gratified that leading EHR systems vendors are choosing our technology,” said DataMotion’s Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Bob Janacek. “We place a high priority on fast, simple integration and adhering to standards so that vendors can quickly achieve ONC-ACB Certification. This, in turn, allows them to rapidly on-board customers and gain market-share during a pivotal time in the industry, while ensuring healthcare providers can easily and securely communicate with their communities and successfully attest for MU2.”
