New to the platform are major enhancements in patient consent, identity validation and authentication, workflow integration, Direct/fax service integration and mobile case management. Enlisting many of these to deliver a new level of “patient experience” is Hackensack University Medical Center (HackensackUMC). The largest provider of inpatient and outpatient health services in New Jersey, ranked #1 in the State by U.S. News & World Report, HackensackUMC has leveraged the power of the DataMotion Health platform to enhance their mobile app for an industry-first solution – Patient Self-Enrollment with Multi-factor Identity Validation.
Designed for leading mobile operating systems (iOS, with Android coming soon), the HackensackUMC Mobile Access App now allows patients to self-enroll for hospital services remotely from their mobile device using DataMotion Health Identity Validation Services enabled by the platform. It positively identifies registrants by validating a “selfie” photo and data from ID cards, and then automates an EHR registration workflow using the captured data, greatly simplifying and expediting enrollment. Under development for the HackensackUMC App is the inclusion of Direct secure messaging addresses and automated patient consent for sharing specific medical record information with authorized recipients, all powered by the DataMotion Health platform.

Using the Direct messaging and integration services of the platform, the docsnap app gives patients a centralized copy of their clinical and lab records from across the care continuum, along with the ability to share that information with care team members. The platform offers scalability to onboard millions of patients and provides each with a unique Direct secure messaging address. An in-depth set of DataMotion APIs were leveraged for identity validation (RA), certificate generation (CA) and Direct messaging (HISP), along with service provisioning and administration.
