DataMotion Health, HackensackUMC Executives to Speak at 9th Annual DV/NJHIMSS Event

Peter Tippett, Bob Janacek and Jeremy Marut Selected to Address Conference

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – October 11, 2016 – DataMotion™, an experienced secure data delivery provider, today announced that DataMotion Health Co-Chairman, Dr. Peter Tippett, CTO and Co-Founder Bob Janacek and HackensackUMC Director Enterprise Architecture, Jeremy Marut , will speak on a panel at the 2016 DV/NJ HIMSS Annual event. The panel session, titled “Patient Engagement? There’s an app for that!” will take place at 3:25 p.m. EST, on Thursday, October 20th.  The panel will discuss what is required for effective patient engagement, the need for mHealth apps, and what it takes to create compliant mobile apps that connect patients to care teams, as well as access personal or family health records.  Real world examples and obstacles for creating mHealth apps will also be reviewed.

This year’s meeting, entitled “The Essential Role of Technology on Population Health,” will be held October 19 –October 21, 2016, at Harrah’s Resort Conference Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The conference will feature six different tracks covering an array of topics related to technology and population health, including quality measurement, patient transitions, patient engagement, pay for performance, privacy & security and care delivery.

Dr. Tippett is co-chairman and an investor in DataMotion. A health IT and computer security pioneer, visionary and active board member, Dr. Tippett most recently served as the chief medical officer and VP of industry solutions at Verizon. He is widely credited with creating the first commercial anti-virus product that later became Norton AntiVirus. Dr. Tippett is frequently quoted and has written many articles and papers on enterprise information technology, health IT and information security.

Mr. Janacek is co-founder and chief technology officer of DataMotion and is the architect, designer and original developer of DataMotion’s managed information delivery system.

Mr. Marut, director enterprise architecture at HackensackUMC, is responsible for defining the IT strategy and execution roadmap and aligning with organizational goals. As a national champion for interoperability and API standardization within healthcare IT, Jeremy advocates for data liberty and for putting the control of health data and wellness into the hands of the patient.
